The SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 314C-2 PN/DP is a high-performance compact CPU featuring integrated PROFINET and PROFIBUS interfaces, making it the most versatile controller in the S7-300 compact CPU family. This advanced controller combines powerful processing capabilities with comprehensive connectivity options for modern industrial automation applications. The CPU 314C-2 PN/DP offers 24 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs, 4 analog inputs, and 2 analog outputs integrated directly into the module, providing a complete control solution in a single package. With 192KB of work memory, this CPU supports complex automation programs and extensive data processing requirements. The dual communication interfaces enable seamless integration into both PROFINET and PROFIBUS networks, as well as traditional MPI networks for programming and HMI connectivity. Officially discontinued in October 2025, this controller remains the recommended upgrade path for many existing S7-300 applications requiring modern network connectivity.
