Product Description
The SIMATIC S7-200 CPU 222 DC/DC/DC is a compact programmable logic controller designed for small-scale automation applications requiring up to 8 digital inputs and 6 digital outputs. This microcontroller features an integrated 24V DC power supply with transistor outputs capable of handling up to 0.75A per point. The CPU 222 supports high-speed counting functions with up to 4 counters operating at 20kHz, making it suitable for motion control and pulse counting applications. Programming is accomplished using STEP 7-Micro/WIN software via an RS-485 PPI interface. Originally launched as part of the popular S7-200 family, this unit has been officially discontinued since October 2017 but remains available as a spare part for maintaining existing installations. The modular design allows connection of up to 2 expansion modules for extended functionality including analog inputs, communication adapters, and additional I/O.
