Product Description
The SIMATIC S7-200 EM 223 is a digital combination module providing 16 inputs and 16 outputs for expanding the I/O capacity of S7-200 PLC systems. This expansion module connects directly to the S7-200 CPU or other expansion modules using the integrated expansion bus, supporting daisy-chain configuration for multiple modules. Each output channel features transistor switching capability with 0.75A current rating per point, suitable for driving solenoids, contactors, and indicator lamps. The module includes LED indicators for all input and output states, facilitating rapid troubleshooting and system debugging. The EM 223 provides electrical isolation between the field devices and the S7-200 backplane bus, protecting the system from voltage transients and ground loops.
