The KEYENCE LR-TB5000 is a self-contained Time-of-Flight (TOF) laser sensor providing detection ranges from 60mm to 5000mm, designed for challenging detection tasks where conventional diffuse or retroreflective sensors struggle with target reflectivity variations or background interference. This sensor employs a 660nm red laser beam that is invisible during operation but provides visible alignment during setup, with TOF technology enabling reliable detection of dark objects, shiny surfaces, and multi-colored targets at long distances. The NPN output configuration provides compatibility with standard PLC input circuits, while the metal housing with IP67 protection ensures reliable operation in industrial environments including those with coolant splash or washdown requirements. The easy teach function allows one-point or two-point teaching for rapid configuration.
